One Moment of love | Seek and You Shall Find

What do you need God to do in your life? Have you tried asking him?

God has shown up for me in so many ways after I started speaking to him and asking him for what I need. In the bible it says “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7

God hears us when we speak to him and if you listen he speaks back. All you need is faith. There has been so many times I have asked God to lead me to a verse in The Bible and he will lead me to the exact thing I need to hear. Sometimes a specific verse will pop in my head randomly without me even asking. I’ll go read it and it’s something pertaining to what I’m going through. Or he will lead me to a post on social media that I really need to read or a video I need to watch that will get me through a certain situation.

God hears our cries for help and he spoils his children if we just have faith in him. He is working on his time and not ours. Once we realize that and let him do his work, we will find peace. If there is something you need or want God to do in your life, ask him and be very specific. I remember when I wanted to move to New Orleans. I asked God basically everyday to allow me to live there for at least a year, without giving up my main residence up north. I asked to live in either the French Quarter or right outside of it. I wanted to live on Burgundy Street. I wanted to live in a shotgun style house. He gave me every single thing I asked for. After being specific with my prayer, he allowed me to move to New Orleans for a year and 3 months, without giving up our home. I lived on Burgundy Street right outside of the FQ in The Marigny. I was able to come back home to the house I loved after having the experience of living in The Big Easy.

Everything I asked God for, he gave to me. That is why it is important to be specific in our prayers. If you need a new car, ask for the year, make and model of the car you want. If you want a new house, ask for the type of house in the neighborhood you want and watch God work. There is one catch to asking him for all of these things. You have to tell him only if it is His will. You won’t want it if it is not in his will. You will be miserable. Trust me, I know! God knows what is best for us. It is ok to desire and want material things but sometimes it is not in his will. God knows best what is for us. Ask God for what will make him happy and not what you think you want. When we put God first, everything else falls into place.

Seek and you shall find pertains to God. Seek him FIRST and all else will fall into place. Your finances will get better, your health will get better, your boundaries become stronger and you won’t let people walk all over you.You start loving yourself and taking care of yourself and you will look better. Put God first and all else will fall into place. Anything you ask God for and it is in his will for you, it will be granted. Just do his work, spread his message and let others know what good he has done in your life, and I promise you He will bless you!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” –Proverbs 3:5-6
